One day I thought to myself... With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, fast food becomes a staple. How could one possibly be expected to shop all day long without a food break. You must feed and nourish thy self daily, Thats like the 11th commandment or something, and I agree "nothing says I love me like Food in my tummy". Malls and shopping centers have done much to contribute to the 11th commandment by filling the air with a wonderful potpourri of fast food. Get anywhere within 100 yards of the food court at your local mall and its like a virtual feast for the sinus cavities. As you walk closer the smells begin to combine into a wonderful smorgasbord of swirling flavors for the nose. The options are endless Subs, Sandwiches, Egg Rolls, Burgers, Pizza, Ice cream, Gourmet Coffee and a zillion other side dishes, snack foods and desserts. Most of the year I just let my taste buds and scent receptors take over my brain and feed and nourish thy self. But not this time of year, this is the time of year when a man has got to be tough and take a stand. If I can just get out the door and not break, concentrate, focus, just ignore taco johns and your home free, focuuuuus whew out the doors, and I made it. Why you ask why go through this incredible self torture, for grandmas fruit salad, and aunt margret's cheesecake, left over turkey and ham cooked to ancient family recipe perfection all in the fridge left over from Thanksgiving and waiting for me to stand this yearly test of manhood.
